Our Experience
As a home, we have a very high standard as we know there is no room for error when caring for our residents. From dementia care techniques to first aid and medication management, our staff are equipped to handle any situation. Our staff are given over 45 training programmes per year to be completed to ensure they are equipped to deal with an eclectic range circumstances. Continuous Professional Development enables us to all have the up-to-date knowledge to perform to the high standards, ensuring we apply our knowledge effectively in line with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). It is our promise to you to train our staff to the maximum achievable standard to maintain the highest level of person-centred care possible. For 4 years running, we have maintained an Outstanding for Management of Medication and have strict protocols in place to ensure the safe and accurate administration of medication with focus on attention to detail and resident safety.

We are devoted to going above and beyond to meet the individual needs of each resident ensuring their comfort, happiness and wellbeing. We strive to create a home where residents can flourish and truly feel like part of our extended family.
At Glendale, we pride ourselves on providing high quality care, which is reflected in our various awards for being part of the Top 20 Care Homes in the East of England 3 years running, 2021, 2022 and 2023. We have received a Bronze Across The Board Award from Essex County Council indicating we are a good home for having no pressure sores, UTI or falls.
We have been awarded a 5* food hygiene rating and provide home cooked freshly prepared, well balanced meals daily with different choices on the menu as we know no two residents are the same with the same taste pallet. We accommodate special dietary requirements such as puree diets, vegetarian or religious dietary needs and believe in promoting choice for our residents. We will give a choice of two different meals and desserts for each resident and where neither option is something your loved one would enjoy, we provide alternatives.
